Loctite 648 is a high strength retaining compound with high temperature resistance for secure hold of the drive pinion. Ideal for retention of parts with a clearance or interference fit. Typical applications include holding gears and sprockets onto gearbox shafts and rotors on electric motor shafts. It provides robust curing performance. Fixing of bearings iin worn out bearing seats. Complete surface contact prevents play, corrosion and fretting corrosion. Very difficult to dismantle with normal tools. Hand strength on steel: 5-10 minutes. Final strength after 12 hours.

Application instructions:
Degrease, clean and dry the bonding surfaces. Apply the product to the two parts to be bonded.

Technical data:
Temperature range -55°C to +175°C. Adhesive gap 0.05mm to 0.15mm. Hand strength after 5 minutes. Final strength after 12 hours. Not applicable for wood and plastic parts.

Wash with plenty of soap and water. If skin irritation or rash occurs, seek medical advice/attention.
